What's your favorite vodka?

That does remind me, I need to hit the liquor store today. I'm holding an Oscars party on Sunday, and chances are I will need to do a lot of drinking to calm me down as I watch James Cameron be rewarded for doing the world a disservice.

Does anyone know any good blue-colored liquors? I'd like to think I'm drinking the blood of slain Na'vi while I drown my sorrows.

It certainly surprises me to say this, but it seems a new distilled liquor has claimed the throne in my household: Austin's own Tito's Handmade Vodka.

My partner came home from a blind taste-test that some friends were having and told me that Tito's had topped the list for all participants. This came as a huge shock to us both because for the longest time it seemed we both thought it was too medicinal and peppery compared to our beloved Shustoff. We purchased a bottle, and lo and behold it was actually quite to our liking! It wasn't as smooth as the former champ, but the slight peppery bite helped ward off the typical vodka aftertaste.

The fact that the stuff is half the price of most top-shelf vodkas is also a huge plus. I highly recommend it if it's available in your area.

I'm not really a Vodka drinker. Had a bad experience with Dubra once... yes, I know now that it is the equivalent of paint thinner, but it's caused me to avoid the fine Russian creation. My drinks of choice are Jim Beam-laced tea, and Mike's Hard Lemonade (A bit narcissistic, as my name is Mike.)

I hardly drink alcohol (unless it is Newcastle's which I am a tad partial to) but last week, friend had a bottle of cheap vodka called "RUS" that I kind of liked. Then again I had only two shots before I felt light-headed so stopped right away

We had the same happen with some really cheap stuff... I believe it was called Popov... or Kamchatka. One of the two incapacitated me for roughly a day and a half.
